Service Description

Experience the thrill of the exposed coast during this fun and exciting training opportunity! We'll surf, play in tidal currents, hone navigation, leadership, and risk management skills, and test our self and assisted re-entry techniques in a variety of conditions and scenarios. We'll also explore the coast on a three day journey, camping on offshore islands. Paddle Canada Level 3 skills certification available. This training is two weekends in length (August 23rd/24th & August 30th to September 1st). Training includes: - 5 days of sea kayak skills training with Candlebox Kayaking's highly certified, expert coaches - Time spent paddling the Atlantic Coast - High quality safety equipment including drysuits by Kokatat (on first come/first served basis), helmets, spray skirts, tow lines, PFD's - Tent (on first come/first served basis) - Advanced leadership, navigation (charts and compass), and risk assessment/mitigation (weather, tides, sea state, preparedness, equipment, etc.) training What people are saying: "I did my Paddle Canada sea kayaking level 3 and my rolling instructor course with Matt. Cancellation Policy

All courses run at the discretion of instructors (mostly according to the weather). We do our best to provide instruction suitable to the conditions. We require 30 days notice for cancellation(s) of courses (excluding SKGABC guide training which is 75 days). Cancellations must be made via E-mail to info@candleboxkayaking.com. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any clinics or trips due to weather or insufficient registration. We do our best to reschedule. If any participant experiences symptoms of COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to training, the participant must cancel. We're happy to provide full credit to attend the same or similar training at a later date. If you cannot make it to a training location due to transportation disruptions or travel restrictions, we are pleased to provide a full credit for the same or similar training. As all outdoor activities involve risk, we recommend you obtain any personal, medical, and/or cancellation insurance that you may deem appropriate. Thanks.
