Service Description
Intimately explore this beautiful coastal area by kayak and experience some of the most accessible and beautiful white sand beaches in Nova Scotia! After a brief orientation, we'll paddle through the calm waters of Jones Cove where seals are often found sunbathing at mid tide. We'll then travel to Spectacle Island and it's wooden lighthouse (circa 1873). We're often accompanied on the water by porpoises and have even encountered whales! Depending on the winds, we'll either explore the southern islands, including Port Mouton Island, or spend time on Carters Beach, arguably the most pristine white sand beach in Nova Scotia. Experience includes: - Kayaks and equipment - 5hr guided kayak tour with Candlebox Kayaking’s highly certified, experienced, and knowledgeable local guides - Shoreline snack consisting of fruit/veg, crackers, spreads, cheese, coffee/tea, water (please advise via E-mail at the time of booking of any special dietary needs) - Shoreline tour of the intertidal zone with Candlebox Kayaking - Photos of your tour and the area What people are saying: "We went out twice with Matt and had a wonderful experience each time. We're happy to receive guests at this location at 9am. Tours are approx 5hrs. $149/per+tax. Minimum four guests per tour.
Cancellation Policy
All courses run at the discretion of instructors (mostly according to the weather). We do our best to provide instruction suitable to the conditions. We require 30 days notice for cancellation(s) of courses (excluding SKGABC guide training which is 75 days). Cancellations must be made via E-mail to info@candleboxkayaking.com. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any clinics or trips due to weather or insufficient registration. We do our best to reschedule. If any participant experiences symptoms of COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to training, the participant must cancel. We're happy to provide full credit to attend the same or similar training at a later date. If you cannot make it to a training location due to transportation disruptions or travel restrictions, we are pleased to provide a full credit for the same or similar training. As all outdoor activities involve risk, we recommend you obtain any personal, medical, and/or cancellation insurance that you may deem appropriate. Thanks.
