Learn to boof, run drops, and surf a hydraulic in a fun, supportive environment. Learn how to rescue other paddlers, use appropriate towing systems, and basic mechanical advantage for recovering kayaks. Paddle Canada Advanced River Kayak Skills certification available. Send us a message and we'd be happy to provide a program information package. Training includes: - 2 days of coaching with Candlebox Kayaking's experienced, highly certified, expert coaches - High-quality equipment including kayaks by Jackson Kayak, paddles by Werner, drysuits by Kokatat (on a first come/first served basis), and all other necessary safety equipment - On-land instruction to help paddlers visualize and understand river features - Experience on (up to) class 3 whitewater on Nova Scotia's South Shore - Paddle Canada Advanced River Kayak Skills certification fees What people are saying: "I have had two days of white water training with Matt DeLong. Meet at a pre-determined classroom space at 8:30 am on the first day of the training. Cost: $475/person+tax. Please book at least 48hrs in advance. We do our best to accommodate last-minute bookings. Cancellation Policy
All courses and tours run at the discretion of instructors and guides (mostly according to the weather). We do our best to provide instruction/tours suitable to the conditions. We require 30 days notice for cancellation(s) of courses (excluding SKGABC guide training which is 75 days) and 48hrs notice for cancellations of tours. For cancellations a full refund less a 20% administration fee will be issued. Our cancellation policy must apply even in the event of a medical problem or family circumstance. We will do everything possible to fill your vacant spot for you. In the case of a Force Majeure, such as but not limited to acts of terrorism, war, pandemics, labour disputes, government actions, strikes, or major adverse weather conditions, all terms and conditions may be subject to change. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any clinics or trips due to weather or insufficient registration. In these cases, full refunds will be issued and we will do our best to reschedule.
