The Medway River is one of Nova Scotia’s most iconic whitewater runs — a beautiful, fast-moving river that offers a mix of playful features and technical challenges depending on water levels. With its combination of standing waves, lively wave trains, and calm recovery sections, the Medway is an ideal classroom for developing confidence and precision in whitewater. Spend the day on the water with Candlebox Kayaking’s expert instructors refining your control, reading the river, and learning to move efficiently through current. This training emphasizes surfing,, playing the river, hazard awareness, and dynamic boat handling, helping you become a more capable and confident paddler in Class II whitewater.
